The Directorate of National Examinations and Assessment (DNEA) ensures the security, validity, and reliability of Namibia's national school examinations, maintaining their regional and international recognition. It provides national assessment and certification services for the school system while supplying information and statistics to monitor the quality and standards of education.

DNEA administers the examinations and certification processes for the Namibia Senior Secondary Certificate Ordinary Level (NSSCO) and Advanced Subsidiary Level (NSSCAS). The directorate also prioritizes equitable access to these national examinations, accommodating all candidates, including those with learning difficulties, on both full-time and part-time bases. These efforts reinforce the integrity and inclusivity of Namibia's education system and its global credibility.
