Capital Projects
The Directorate of Planning and Development in the Ministry of Education, Arts and Culture is responsible for planning and coordinating the construction of Ministerial physical infrastructures through Capital projects.
In the current financial year 2023/2024, Treasury made a special allocation of N$213,000,000.00 to construct 510 additional classrooms at existing schools and 70 ablution facilities in all fourteen regions.
AFRICAN DEVELOPMENT BANK (AfDB)’S EDUCATION AND TRAINING QUALITY IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS
The Ministry of Education, Arts and Culture (MoEAC) is the implementing Agency of the Education and Training Quality Improvement Project which received financial support (loan) of N$ 1 billion from the African Development Bank. This loan is augmented with a Government contribution of NS 400 million, being the counterpart co-funding to this initiative. The Project is being implemented for a period of 5 years, effective from 28 March 2018 and is expected to close by 31 December 2023.
