National Heritage And Culture Programmes (NHCP)
The Directorate is responsible for identifying, developing and promoting the culture and heritage of Namibia for nation building and unity in diversity.
What We Do:
- Promote culture and heritage for sustainable development
- Safeguarding cultural and natural heritage sites, tangible and intangible elements for sustainable development
- Collection, preservation of cultural and biological specimens of research and heritage significance and conduct scientific and community-based research
- Development, coordination and implementation of cultural and heritage policies
