Africa Public Service Day

Namibia joined the rest of the continent in celebration of the Africa Public Service Day held
under the theme “Empowering a Citizen-Centric Public Service for an Inclusive and Thriving
21st Century Africa: Journey of Lifelong Learning and Technological Transformation.”
The four-day celebration which included sports competitions and exhibitions concluded on a
high note at the Namibia Institute of Public Administration and Management (NIPAM),
Windhoek on 27 June 2024.


The event aims to honor public servants for their dedication and commitment to their various
professions. It is also a platform to learn best practices that enhances innovation and improve
service delivery. The celebrations witnessed various Offices, Ministries and Agencies (O/M/As)
showcasing their and services, functions an innovation.


The MoEAC Deputy Minister Faustina Caley, in her keynote address underscored the
importance of public service in the context of nation-building, urging for a continuous
improvement in the public sector. Meanwhile, the MoEAC football team scooped the second
place in the sports competitions.
